Date and Time: Saturday, June 9, 9:00 a.m
Throughout history no flower has been so loved or celebrated as the rose. Rosaceae is older than the human hands that first cared for it, drew pictures of it, and sang its praises in music. Forty million years ago, a rose left its imprint on a slate deposit at the Florissant Fossil Beds in Colorado. Join us as we explore the history of the Fairmount Heritage Rose collection, the largest in Colorado and one of the largest in North America.
Tour guide, Peggy Williams, Denver Rose Society Consulting Rosarian; two time past President of the Denver Rose Society; Horticultural Judge and District Director of the American Rose Society. Date and Time: Thursday, June 7, 2012
Too often we fail to recognize and honor the losses experienced by healthcare providers, particularly the nursing staff. Nurses and personal care assistants provide intimate care to patients and families thus establishing caring relationships. As patients decline and ultimately die, the nursing staff needs meaningful ways to process the loss. We invite you to enjoy a lovely breakfast with colleagues and friends as we explore innovative approaches to creating meaningful rituals for nurses and personal care assistants. Free breakfast. by Jane W. Barton, MTS, MASM Register by May 30, 2012 to reserve your seat by email at Stacie.Schubert@sci-us.com.
